I've been asked recently what I am doing in my new job as office manager/secretary at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary so here goes.

I do normal things like answer the phones but what's different about working at a mortuary is the typing of programs, obituaries and submitting the latter to the paper. I may have to scan a photo and put it on these items. I close out files and make sure all the paperwork is completed. There are other things that will come up. I will also be working on reports for the general manager but I haven't been given those assignments yet.

I'm very happy that I have this job and look forward to it being a wonderful experience!

Whitney's November 2010 Visit

It was so nice to have Whitney for 3 days. It was short but she made the most of it. Thursday we had a girl's night out. Whitney took Jessica, Hailie, Natalie and I to the $1 movie to see "Despicable Me." It was a LOT of fun. The show was great but better than that were the girls. Hailie could tell her mom what she enjoyed about it and I was picking popcorn out of Natalie's onesie. Jessica said she picked out more the next morning. Ha, ha! They suffered no ill effects. Wow--can they eat popcorn. Whitney and I took some photos! Enjoy!

Ashley and Luke

Here are my daughter-in law, Ashley and my first grandson, Luke David Lambson, son of David and Ashley. He's a cutie! I stole this from Ashley's blog because I don't live near them and can't take a photo of my own!

We had our ward Halloween party Saturday evening. It was pouring rain when I picked up Jessica, Hailie and Natalie. Hailie, the Lady Bug and Natalie, the Pumpkin Fairy joined us for Chili and cornbread, apple cider and doughnuts. Then ward members chose a classroom to distribute goodies from and the spooks and princesses paraded around the building asking for treats. The Lady Bug received her share and was very pleased about it. It was a wonderful evening. It's always fun when I get to spend time with my grandchildren. I heard Luke was a bumble bee and hope to see photos soon! Happy Halloween!!
