A Homemade Valentine

It's been a long time since I've seen a hand made Valentine card. But last night I received one from Taylor!  Happy Valentines to Me. Andrew, Taylor and I had dinner at Olympus Burger to celebrate the day!

Happy Birthday, Cameron!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAMERON! February 10th marked 22 years of Cameron's life. I try not to get too sentimental about my children because the tears start, but I can't help myself. Cameron came into the world on a very cold day. A day later, he was still struggling to breathe. The doctors instructed that a vial of blood be taken from me and Cameron was whisked by ambulance in a raging snow storm to Primary Children's Hospital. The doctors there immediately pushed an empty syringe into his right lung and slowly pulled out the air in his chest cavity so he could fill his lungs with air instead. Within the week, we were able to take him home. Although you cherish each child, the ones that struggle to get here and stay here tend to tug at your heart just a little harder because you almost lost them.

Cameron, I love you dearly! Make the most of this precious life you've been given. Take care of yourself. I wish you every good thing!

Love, Mom

You're kinda' good, too!

I learn a lot from the little ones. They are so honest and eager. They burst on the scene and show us how to really enjoy life.

Last evening, Hailie was showing me her newest princess book. She said, "Okay, first we will say the name of all the princesses." That was easy. "Now," she instructed, "we are going to sing their songs." A little harder. She has a beautiful voice with a natural vobrato. She's always on key. I was singing along with her and complimenting her. I would say, "That sounds very nice." She would reply, "I know." Then once she stopped and said, "You're kinda' good too." Andrew and I couldn't hold back the laughter.
